Please strangle yourself with your own red tape

We have been trying to open an account for a youngster who lives in my house. I provided him will all the necessary FICA documentation as well as the form to be completed and signed by the property owner. The email cover I received from Tshwane as well as the invoice that was downloaded following the link was printed in hard copy as well as sent via email to the consultant at the bank. This is not acceptable because it is a computer generated copy. Since snail mail is no longer a reliable option, this is how we receive our accounts. None of the other accounts I provided were acceptable (e.g. motor financing) because it is also computer generated. Hello...? Wake up to the modern world. I recently activated a credit card facility at one of the other large banks, using the exact documentation now rejected by Standard Bank. Then Standard Bank says I can use one of the other bank's statements as a FICA document. Logic? The young man will now go to another bank and I am also switching. This was just the last straw from this PATHETIC institution. And being a Private Banking client means absolutely nothing. I hope your customers leave in streams.
