perforated payslips are not acceptable
I signed an offer to purchase on the 31st March 2015, of which a condition was that a mortgage bond be obtained within 14 days of signing the Agreement of sale. My partner and I app**** to standard bank for the home loan and we furnished them with all the required documentation. The payslips received are the perforated payslips, which have to be torn on both sides before the payslip can be opened. Naturally, as we open our payslips, the perforated edges were torn. However, I received a call stating that the credit department has not accepted the payslip because it has been cut off. I have sent an email explaining that nothing was cut off and that the edges were perforated and had to be torn for the payslip to be opened. Moreover, the payslip shows \ry - R 25 000"and \""?ve bonus R 18 000. Cleary \""ry\""refers to the salary. I have also explained that the current property will be rented out to cover the other bond and that the lease agreement will be signed shortly.I have emailed this explanation and have received no response. The time to obtain the bond approval will soon be lapsing and I do not know where I stand with this home loan application."""
