Penalised due to undependable sms warning of scheduled payments.

Standard bank's two day sms warning of a scheduled payment is undependable. My only warning of a scheduled payment is when I am debited for an insufficient balance. This allows me to transfer funds to my current account to pay my bills. Apart from the poor service, I am also billed for the result of that poor service. I want: 1. The sms warning service to be dependable. 2. To be refunded by the amount that was deducted from my account for poor service!

This problem has happened previously this year. It appears Standard Bank has failed to correct the problem

The response I received from Standard Bank on this complaint was: 1. An unsolicited explanation on how to manage my account. I used the bank’s sms service to ensure that my balance was adequate for future dated payments in the past. 2. The bank doesn’t offer a sms service. 3. They declined to honour my request of reversing the charges Concerning 2 above, I previously registered a complaint with HelloPeter on 3 July 2018 for the same problem. The bank reversed the charges. They however gave no indication that the sms service was no longer available. It appears that Standard Bank makes arbitrary changes which affect clients adversely.
