Payment Holiday Rejection
I am a holder of home loan account with Standard Bank. I am writing to formally request a review and reconsideration of my recent payment-holiday application, which was declined by your consultant, Sinazo.
I would like to clarify that my request is not related to taking on any new financial commitments. The payment holiday was requested due to urgent personal and household circumstances that have placed significant strain on my finances.
Over the past year, I have experienced a particularly difficult financial period, and I now urgently need to attend to essential home renovations for safety and maintenance purposes. I intend to use the instalments from the 3-month payment holiday to pay for building materials and labour in cash.
In addition to this, I am dealing with a personal cultural matter that requires me to undergo an important traditional process related to my well-being. This is a deeply personal family matter, and attending to it is necessary for my health and stability.
I have been a responsible bond holder for many years, maintaining a consistent and reliable payment record with the Bank. I believe this history reflects my commitment to honouring my financial obligations.
Given my track record and the genuine nature of my current circumstances, I kindly request:
