Payment holiday from Standard bank.... Was this just a big ****?

Thousands of people took up the payment holidays that was offered by our banks while the world was going threw an pandemic. I thought Standard bank was the best bank ever as they approved 6 months payment holiday. WOW that was amazing it help in the best way ever as our salaries where drastically impacted by the epidemic .

The first repayment was then to be made end of November 2020. With late salary payments , the first repayment was then done on the 1 December 2020. The amount repaid was what we had been repaying as normal. No word from Standard bank with regards to anything. Then 6 weeks ago, Beginning of June 2021 i was approached by the local Sheriff as Standard bank had hand me over . I was handed over for the six months of payment holiday and according to them my monthly installment was incorrect. Not once was i informed that the amount was incorrect. I requested the lawyers to send me a statement on my account as im not receiving anything from standard bank. But what was funny , the amount payable for the installment on the statement and what i was paying where the same, but according to Standard bank my repayment should have been more.

So what i would like to know is , should the repayment on a account not be the same amount as on the account statement?

Could Standard bank hand me over without any contact has been made?

And can i be forced the repay the payment holiday immediately.

Is this the type of service one can suspect to get from Standard bank? While the whole world is still undergoing the effects of this pandemic.

I would like to get feedback from Standard bank, or want to know if they would rather have this going out on social media as im not willing to lose my home to something stupid as this.

Kind Regards,

Albertus Olivier
