Pathetic service from Standard Bank

Case number -68489 Case number -***

Extremely disappointed and shocked at the service received from Standard Bank. On the 30th of July 2025 I received a call from supposedly Standard Bank advising me that there was ***** activity taking place, the person provided details that only Standard Bank be holding, authentication process exactly like Standard Bank. With the guidance of the consultant Vouchers where created from my Banking app, which these scales had visual of. Vouchers to the value of R7400 was created.During the call something didn't seems correct so I proceed to the nearest branch and contacting Standard Bank and had my account blocked.Once my account was blocked, the now Standard Bank consultant advised me that only R2600 was cashed out and the remaining funds was not cashed out at the time of initiating the block.I further asked if the remaining funds could not be transferred back into my account so it could not be cashed out and the consultants replay was that "The investigating officer could answer that however the turn around time is 5 to 7 weeks".

After sending email email to the Personal Banker Nompumelelo Dlamini, assigned to my profile on the 30th of July, I only get a call the next day on the 31st of July, Personal banker then assisted to unlock my banking app only find that the remaining funds had also been cashed out.(AFTER A BLOCK ON THE ACCOUNT WAS INITIATED). She then ordered a new card, which was still incorrect and to dated not canceled. With an apology for not canceling the incorrect card the thing done thereafter. The card had still been sent to a branch even though it was incorrect. Is this the way Standard Bank allows staff to sell our details by ordering incorrect cards that are still linked to our banking apps?

To date the only feedback received was that the a certain transactions they are awaiting for.

The Personal Banker is unable to provide any feedback, and yesterday the 18th of August after sending a follow-up email I was directed to the ***** department only to be told that the case was logged with the incorrect department and only now transfered to the correct department.

So now my question was considering the case was opened in the wrong department, do I now wait a further 5 to 7 weeks before I can get any feedback or my money back.

At this point I feel like the Personal Banker is of no use as I have not even got a call from her providing any feedback or status updates. Is she the one that has sold my personal details to *****sters and this is the reason for her not providing feedback and not canceling the incorrect cards that have been delivered?

Please explain to me how is it possible that I would need to provide my Identification number before you could authenticate me?

During the call I explained numerous times that I am not comfortable in sharing personal details, as this is how I got ****mered in the first place.
I further requested a number of time to authenticate me via the banking app first before I could provide any of my details, which you refused saying your system would not allow you to.
Standard Bank sends SMS's and emails telling us that "Standard Bank will never call you asking for personal information or for us not to share personal details with anyone."
Yet they still expect you to give them your personal details before they could authenticate you?

Standard Bank has the authentication option via the app.
In which world does I make sense to provide my Identification number before you can authenticate me?
I have been to a Branch to report the ***** case and block my account, yet the funds were still removed from my account.

I'm sorry but this all seems as excuses not to reveal the truth that staff members in your organisation are selling our details to *****sters.

To correct your response.
My details was requested Verbally and NOT ELECTRONICALLY.
Has I explained to the consultant I am happy to authenticate ELECTRONICALLY and not verbally, which the consultant blatantly refused.
