Pathetic Service at and ******** by Standard Bank of South Africa

I have a Prestige Account with Standard Bank, which I have been having for more than a decade. Included with that is a Credit Card and a Homeloan which I finished paying in October 2022. I have major problems which include a very unprofessional service and what I believe is ****-related involving some officials at Standard Bank. Firstly: Given that I'm a "Prestige Banker" one would have expected that I would be informed of any changes from my old banker to my current one. If it was not for the Homeloan query I had this week I wouldn't have known that my new banker, who claimed to have been my banker for almost a year now is Tebogo Caroline Mphephu. She had promised to come back to me via email regarding my query since Tuesday and she even sent an email to that effect. To date, I have not heard from that Tebogo who actually even butchered my surname on that email. So much for a "Prestige Banker". Needless to say, my problem has gotten worse while I'm still waiting for some Tebogo to handle it. Secondly: As I have already indicated above that my Homeloan account was paid and was R0 by end of October. Come November, Standard Bank proceeded to deduct a "Service fee" of R57.50 and an "Assurance Premium" of R8.33. As to what is being assured when the account is R0 only Standard Bank of South Africa knows. I had a Homeloan with ABSA Bank at the same time I had a Homeloan with Standard Bank which I also zeroed and ABSA never did that. So I have a direct, concurrent comparison. Now for December, Standard Bank has charged a "System Interest Debit" of R0.31 from that R0 account, and a further R57.50 "Service Fee". As if that is not enough, they have deducted my old installment of R4 584.07. Their systems are not even saying the same thing, according to their Banking App, as of today, I find myself with an outstanding amount of R4 526.26. Again, only Standard Bank know how they get there. My conclusion here is simple, and it is that these bankers **** customers. It is important to remember that a 31 cents or even a R57.50 that is taken from a Vuyo here, can be added to another 50c ****** from Peter and added to another ****** from Patricia over there. Basically when you add the "insignificant amounts" together and multiply them by some 1000 or more a banker is handling, it becomes a lot of money. I believe that is what is happening to me. Standard Bank is treating me like junk and ******** me at the same time. I will soon be leaving Standard Bank.
