Pathetic is not the word!

<p>We have 2 properties insured with Standard Bank. My wife still app**** for the insurance and it was gladly accepted by SB 7 years ago. But ever since every year when my wife phones to get a tax certificate she gets told no ways they will help her because the policy is in my name. So she is good enough to take her money every month but not accepted when in need of anything. The houses are in both our names and I already phoned in several times to ask they must put the policy in both our names but it`s just not getting done. Which brings me to my next complain. I need a tax certificate for my houses but your call centre not willing to send it to my wife. Next complain- I asked for an accessor to come out 2 months ago to access the value on the houses, the amounts totally incorrect, the 2 houses amounts were swopped. I arranged to have an accessor phone me for an appointment- it never happened and he/she never showed up. Eventually I hired a private acessor to valuate my houses and my wife once again phoned Standard Bank to rectify the amounts the houses must be ensured for. That was last week and the lady she spoke to said sorry, system error, she will update the policy and come back to us. Well its no surprice, no phone calls or feedback. Once again my wife phoned in again today, and the call centre guy she spoke to flat out asked her why did she get a private accessor and after explaining that Standard Bank`s accessor never showed he flatly refused to help her and said she had no right to make amendments to our policies, it`s only in my name. For freakin sake, she app**** for the insurances, she is handling all our afairs, the houses are in both our names and I gave her full permission via an attorney letter to Standard Bank to do all my businesses due to me being out of the country, what else do you need. We spend hours on the cellphone to get some help from Standard Bank and this is the service we get, I will most defnitely cancell my insurance with you if I am not helped. And by the way, the houses are paid up-NO BOND!!! Do not come and tell me what my houses are worth if you don`t even have the decency to come and valuate my houses. The one house is roughly a million but according to your paperwork almost 1.6 mill. Please get somebody to phone me asap, I am not going to waste any more airtime on a bank that gladly accepts our money but don`t want to help the person who app**** for the insuarnce in the first place. I am moving within the next 2 weeks and want this resolved before then or it is bye-bye Standard Bank!</p>
