Pathetic and force selling their products
Last year I took up funeral cover with standard bank and they offered me option to have premiums and cover increase annually and I chose my premiums and cover not to increase and it's written in my policy documents. To my surprise standard informed me that my premiums will increase in April. Can you explain why my premiums must increase when I opted for it to remain the same,there is a reason why I don't want the automatic increases because I may not afford the increased premiums . If you told me that premiums increases are mandatory I would not have taken policy with you.

Your response time is quick here on Hello Peter because it's public platform and your reputation is more important than good customer service. I sent my complaint privately through email and I got ignored. So shocking that we have to use platforms like these and social media in order for standard bank to respond.

Pathetic how you **** customers with tricks to milk more money from your customers. I will approach the Ombud for short term insurance.

I did receive response that premiums will increase because according to your institution I agreed to have insurance premium increase automatically every year. I suspended my two debit orders thid months until the Ombudsman makes a ruling on my complaint against standard bank.
