Paid Up Letter

Paid my Standard bank credit card in August 2014. its May 2015 and when applying for car finance the banks say I still owe money to standard bank. I requested a paid up letter but never received it even though the call centre says the sent it. I am highly frustrated at this will take 3 working days as the banks are waiting for this.
