Paid up credit card still shopwing unpaid after NINE MONTHS!!!

<p>I paid up my credit card on 25/10/2016 and asked them to close the account as it was initially in arrears. They gave me the paid-up letter fine. and told me they'll update all relevant credit bureaus. Up until today, I get different law firms calling me to pay it up. I mean ***?? why would you inconvenience a person like this? I registered with 2 of the most popular credit bureaus in SA, namely Experian and Transunion. But it is still indicating that I owe them</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Can someone sort this out for good??????????</p> <p>Regards</p>
