Overcharged Account

I opened a student achiever account about 7/8 years ago. Until I got a learnership in 2016 and suddenly my account was switched without my knowledge from student achiever, to another I don't know to this day and never gave consent. It didn't bother me much until after my contract ended, a year later I went to the ATM to get a bank statement and suddenly my account was in +-R1225 worth of arrears. However, a student achiever account doesn't charge for use of an account/card. I'm currently unemployed and stuck with a debt that keeps accumulating regardless that I haven't used my account in almost 2years.
