OVER INFLATED service fees, ********** DOUBLE charges, Ridiculous procedures in place to get REFUNDS

The fixed monthly fees on my Standard Bank Credit Card went up by 52 % in Jan 2015, and again another 18 % in Jan 2016, and again by 33% in Jan 2017. Then just as one imagine that the service provider is happy with the huge increases in fees In April 2017 they started double charging on the one fee on an ongoing monthly basis. Information given contradicts the previous given, and impossible unreasonable requests are made before even considering a refund for the mistake. Operators also can't clarify exactly what each different fixed fee is for, and asking to speak to their supervisor is not happening.

No secondary cards were delivered on my account for over 10 years, and I need to remember the date and time when I removed my ex husband as secondary card holder 15 years ago because they started charging for his card in April 2017 again. Who remembers date and time of past 15 years phone conversations ? ... in other words they will make the goalpost so impossible that people will back off and leave the overcharge complaint.

When phoning the number it takes about 10 minutes for the operator to ask personal questions to try and determine if they are speaking to the right person on the line, but I closed my Standard Bank Cheque account a month ago after a previous tenant loaded a ********** once off CHUBB debit order of R 3508.92 on the NuDEBT internet system, without my written or verbal consent or any big ordeal on authorisation levels. (www.easydebit.co.za/submit-request.html). This apparent sreening system is a complete wase of time and energy in the wrong department considering that they can't get a grip on the ********** internet debit orders.

This just boils down to SMALL time ***** and THEFT where it is hopefully not noticed, and moving the goalpost for the client to run around is totally unacceptable.

Why can Standard Bank not own their mistakes, apologise for them and reverse the overcharges by just checking their system on how many cards were actually issued each year for the past 10 years.

What will I hear next ? The AA slapped a debit order through on a credit card that was closed over 2 years ago, and bank is taking legal action because the client didn't "REPORT THE CARD ******" at the time of just closing the account like NEDBANK's credit card department told me a few years ago. We can certainly raise the bar on expected service levels with both Standard Bank and Nedbank Credit Card departments.
