ID: ***

Back in 2007 i took out vehicle finance with Standard Bank for R120 000 payable as R180 000 for a period of 60 months with a down payment of R20 000.

I have come to the conclusion that i have paid over and above the contract of R180 000.

Statement 63, dated 2012/10/13 to 2012/11/14 depicts an amount of R167,302.70 total paid to date.

On the 24/01/2013 R3000 paid

26/03/2013 R2500 paid
23/08/2013 R2500 paid
21/10/2013 R2500 paid
19/12/2013 R7000 paid
24/01/2014 R1000 paid

Total = R185,802.70

I was then told to pay an additional R14,372.00 to settle the account.
10/02/2015 R14,372.00 paid

In Total R200,174.70 has been paid.

I personally feel as though i am taken advantage when in actual fact throughout this contract i have maintained a brilliant payment record apart from the months i did not pay due to unemployment which the bank was notified at the time.

I would appreciate if someone would explain step-by-step on how it happens that i pay R20 000 more then i should pay.

I have kept every statement since i started this account and will be happy to compare them with records from the bank.

I need to get to the bottom of this ASAP
