Over 30 000 worth of charges.
I issued standard bank ith my 30 day bond cancellation notice in october. December I called to notify the house is officially sold and I requested they extend my notice. Consultant saif the system dont allow it and I needed to call when it ended in january. I told her I was not going to be in call range to call on the date. She insisted thats the banks system unfortunately. I called 4 days after it ended. In feb my house was handed over and I received a msge that the bond eas cancelled. First week of march I called because my attorney informed me there would be a refund as they didny way more than the figure the bank initially submitted to us. I received a statement the 3 rd of march showing my credit balance after the bond was settled. I called again the 2nd week of march and still my bond was not closed even tho the sms said it was. The consultant closed the bond and requested my refund. My refund was over 8000 less. I asked them why.. the consultant got very uptight and did not allow me to speak to a manager as usual they are always in meetings. She checked and advised it was because my notice was given late in jan. I gave my notice in OCTOBER!... standard bank r *******s they charged me over 30 000 just to cancel my bond. A very small bond. Received a ref for the manager to call me back. 2 days later nothing. Emailed my complaint still nothing. Both me and my hubby will be cancelling our savings cheque and credit cards. most dissapointing ban****!!!
