Only 1 Cash withdrawal from your Credit Card in 8 years and Standard Bank will punish you with cash withdrawal fees for that one occasion until you close your account!!!!

I withdrew cash, for the first and only time, using my credit card in December 2018. Since then I have been debited with a 'Cash Finance Charge', ranging from R5.48 in December when I made the withdrawal to R12.87, each and every month. Every month it is a different amount and when querying this fee every month, I was told that that they are uncertain as to how the amount is calculated, but it will be charged to my account regardless of whether I ever make a cash withdrawal again or not. The only time it will cease, is when I close my account and open a new one and never make a cash withdrawal again. My choices are to close my account or be penalized for being a good customer for over 16 years. I only still have a credit card because of two debit orders going through for insurance products taken when it was still Blue Bean, a very low outstanding balance, so Goodbye Standard Bank. You will not be *****ing an average of R12.50 from me every month for eternity!!!!!!

Pathetic generic response. No, I am not going to continue supporting you! Very amateurish for a corporate like yourselves. NO customer service at all!! As I was informed, the only way to stop this unfair penalty fee for drawing cash once on my credit card, is to close my account, which I will do.
