On-line *****

On Wednesday 29/03/2017 my bank account was swept clean by on-line **********. I had to phone my bank (Standard Bank) to find out what was going on as I received 2 sms of R9999 paid to UCOUNT. After Standard Bank stopped my card they put me through to the UCOUNT's department. They could not pick up anything that is relating to money being paid to UCOUNT as you cannot pay money into your UCOUNT card as it is a reward card and not an account. They realised that this is ***** and put me then through to the ***** department. After telling them what happened they could see that my money was transferred to 2 accounts. R9999 to one account and then R9999 into a second account. So they told me that this will be investigated and they will phone me with progress within 2weeks. I could not understand why the bank did not phone me to report *****ulant activity. Instead I had to phone them. In any case the ***** deparment gave me a call on Thursday 06/04/2017 and said that they could recover half of the money which they will pay back to me, however they otherhalf of the money they could not recover because it was already utilized and that it will be a loss on my side as they cannot pay the other half. I said to the lady that it is unacceptable, they should have insurance for these types of cases and that they I need all my money back not only just the one half. My money is supposed to be safe in my bank but apperently is is not. She then said sorry that just the way it is. I'm very upset how they handled the situation, they did not give a damn what happened to my money. I'm beginning to think that it might be some one working for Standard bank that is commiting these *****ulant activites. All I ask for is that the money that was ****** from me be returned to me in full. I have been banking with Standard Bank for over 10 years and this is the first time I receive unprofessional treatment from them. I hope the CEO of Standard bank gets to read this complaint.
