Not very helpful

I wanted to close off my credit card account with Standard Bank today, and went to a branch to do so. Firstly they could not tell me the settlement balance, then when I phones the credit card division, the settlement was more than what I owe on the account. I was then directed to the teller to pay the account and after standing in a line for a long time, I was told that she cannot help me and that I need to go to a different teller. Once again, after a long wait, the teller informed me that she can only accept cash, and that I have to go to an ATM to draw it. How can this be - can they not take payment from another bank's card? Is it not like paying a normal account? Who in their right mind withdraws 12k from an ATM? Then to top it off, I will have to go back to them to close the account. This banks sucks.
