Not a clue

My blue debit card is being rejected on a regular basis with a no funds message. There is always funds in the account or i would not be purchasing the item. Was in Standard bank this morning (25th) which proved to be an EXERCISE IN FRUSTRATION. The lady, as helpful as she was had NO idea why this was happening. We eventually took the NEW CARD option, went down to check if it worked, first store NO FUNDS AVAILABLE DONT GIVE GOODS. Back to bank, she phones call center who i can sense has even LESS clue than the inquiries lady. Put on hold for 10 minutes and then she comes back with this pearl of wisdom "if you get that message maybe the customer does not have funds" Being turned down for a purchase of R36.00 when there is more than R11000.00 in the account At this point we were fighting a loosing battle so now you are getting this review. Maybe you can help but i doubt it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still waiting for a resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!. In fact your call centre has resorted to lying to me. I have phoned them 3 times this month. None of these calls appear on my profile. The last call they find is on the 28th of August at which time they say the problem is sorted. ITS NOT. During these 3 calls in September i was promised that the IT department will phone me, i will be sent a new reference number. Non of these happened. Its also very convenient to blame the IT department. This is blatant lying to get me off the phone, pretty much like putting me on hold for minutes at a time hoping i will hang up. Cell phones are wonderful things I have a log of the calls, Time, date and duration. The only person who tried to help was Sofie bhut her solution was for me to go to all THE MERCHANTS where the card was rejected, find out who they bank with and check with their banks what the problem is. When did i start working for Standard Bank???
