Non-refund of ********** activity AND Harrassment from Credit Collection department

My elderly father had R30,000 withdrawn from his credit card on 2/12/2016. He immediately picked it up when receiving an e-mail and contacted Standard Bank to block the transaction and his card. He then went to SAPS to complete an affidavid and get a case number , and straight to Standard Bank, Retail Park East London and was issued with a new debit, and later a new credit card. Despite his quick reaction, Standard Bank still allowed these funds to be deducted. After numerous follow up calls & e-mails to standard bank, this still has not been resolved. He is getting harrassed daily by the credit collection department regarding the high outstanding amount on his card. This is taking a huge emotional toll on him and is affecting his health. I am very disgusted at how poorly Standard Bank is dealing with this. It has been two months now & although they promise to resolve this, nothing has been done. Instead he has had to deal with *********** call centre consultants from the credit collection division that read off a script and threatening to black list him. I am currently visiting my father as he has undergone major surgery and witnessed one such call this morning. My father has banked with Standard Bank his whole life, but as soon as he is on the road to recovery, I am personally taking him to see the Bank Manager, and closing all his accounts and investments with Standard Bank, and going to assist him to move to a more professional Bank. I have been in contact with the ***** department, and awaiting their response. My father is a client of Standard Bank, and not Capitec Bank, Standard Bank please refund him immediately together with all the additional bank, finance & late fee charges, as well as his telephone bills and sort out your own issues with Capitec. My father needs those funds as he is a pensioner.
