Nobody will assist with closing my account from overseas
I've contacted various people and even wrote a letter to the branch where I opened my account more than 20 years ago. I have emigrated and need my account to be closed. Nobody will help me. I will not be able to pay the admin costs levied against my dormant, empty account any longer. I've been a loyal client of Standard Bank for many years and there has been no interest in assisting me with this simple task. Can someone assist? I have a Current Account with the Account Number: 01 266 629 7. I've heard from MANY people that they struggle with the same simple issue to close accounts. Why won't Standard Bank assist with this simple, easy action?
