No way of Paying Barclays Bank

I need to pay for accommodation in Botswana, but Barclays Bank is not listed as a beneficiary. I therefore went into the Bank where I was asked to go home again, call the hotel and check that they are not ABSA bank!!! Of course they were not. I came home, and when I called the helpline (after confirming that I need to pay Barclays Bank), I was asked to go back to the branch, who clearly do not seem to know anything. I am being sent from pillar to post, and at the moment have stupid elevator music in my ears, and my blood pressure is rising.
