No more ATMs

It has been reported in the news recently that Cape Town CBD is heading to a 24 hr economy. Where this is fantastic news for us living and working in the CBD it is a nightmare when it comes to Standard bank clients. The recent closure of so many ATMs and branches in the CBD has made it almost impossible to withdraw money after hours when all ATMS are locked or during lunch hour when you have to run 5 to 6 blocks trough busy city traffic to get there in time just to be issued with R20 notes on a R1000 withdrawal. If Standard bank is so concerned about our safety in the recent spate of ATM bombings that they have to close most of the city's ATMs and lock it during night time, I propose that Standardbank lift the enormous penalty fees involved when withdrawing at another branch. Then I can withdraw cash at ABSA, FNB or any other bank that is conveniently located without having to make mad dashes during working hours to get those ridiculous R20 notes when I withdraw R1000. Please Standard Bank, set an example and wake up! We as the clients are sick and tired of this nonsense,
