No feedback or sense of urgency to get things done

I currently have a Nedbank cheque and credit card. Wanting to move away from the terrible service I have been handed over the past 8 months, I opted to switch to Standard Bank, private Banking. The process after opening these accounts have left me very disappointed. My cards were meant to be delivered before I left SA to return to work in Zambia. The staff that attempted to confirm my employment took 4 days to call me to obtain an alternative contact number for HR in Zambia, of which no other communication had been made to me prior. After going into the branch to collect the one card, the manager, Kim, and consultant, Janine, assisted by confirming they would escalate and resolve ASAP. My wife and I expressed our concerns about the lack of response, feedback and communication we moved away from at Nedbank, and do not expect the same at Private Banking level at Standard Bank. I have made the effort to obtain contact details from HR in SA for HR in Zambia which have been communicated to both ladies at the branch. I am yet to receive if anything, an acknowledgement of receipt. So I am pretty certain, no contact or action has been taken, despite my efforts or request for urgency.
