NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES AT OTHER ATM - YEAH RIGHT - OVERCHARGED SO CLIENTS BEWARE

During March my Mom who is a pensioner received an sms stating that during the Covid-19 lockdown there would be no additional charges for drawing at ATM's other than Std Bank. So imagine her shock when she received her statement and she had been charged R9.50 (4/4) and R38.00 (11/4) respectively for two withdrawals.

I sent an email to Std Bank only for them to tell me that the matter had to be addressed at a Branch or she has to call them.

A) She is a pensioner and will NOT be going to stand in a line at a branch B) She is a pensioner and will NOT be calling them to ask them to correct THEIR OWN ERROR.

This isn't the first time I've had an issue with Standard Bank and my Mom's account and I think that once it is safe to do so I will be getting her to change to a more customer orientated bank.
