NO ACCOUNT

I app**** for an standard bank cheque account and RCP on the same day online. Both applications was approved. The RCP was paid out to me however I never recieved feedback about the cheque account. I called in and was advised that I will need to wait as it takes 5 to 7 working days for the acc to be opened and 7 to 10 days for delivery of the card. I called in again yesterday after 1 week and the agent Oscar cannot find an account for me on the system. I provided him with an account number that reflects on my profile and still no account. when I go onto my profile it still shows account being processed. its been more than 10 days and no one can tell me where this account application actually is. How can the RCP be picked up and approved and paid out yet there is no trace of the cheque account???
