New internet web site and security checks

Since moving over to the bank's new website, I've had issues paying individuals. I called the call centre months ago and succeeded paying my beneficiaries by deleting the existing accounts and adding the same beneficiaries again, with the same banking details.

Today I again went to pay a long standing beneficiary and was informed that the details were incorrect. The screen does not inform you which field is incorrect. I then called the Call Centre hoping for some resolution. Before proceeding I had to go through a security check, which I failed. The lady started asking questions on things from years ago. When did I open my Woolworths account. I'm 56, I have no idea. Another question was going back to the 1990's. I understand that the banks are trying to improve security but please ask relevant questions. In addition, the new banking app now allows you access the site with merely a email address and password, which does not seem like a very secure method of accessing your bank account. Because I was so frustrated, I asked the Call Centre lady, who was really trying to be helpful, to give me the number of my Relationship Manager, because I wanted to complain. She then transferred me to the Prestige Banking Division. I then went through my whole s**** and asked to have the number for the Westgate branch. The person who responded asked if he could assist but then informed me that before we could proceed he would have to ask me some security questions. Well that was the final straw. I had to put the phone down before I erupted. Bottom line is, you actually cant get through to someone at Standard Bank to complain which I find absolutely mind blowing.
