New home loan - disaster

We purchased a new house and standard bank gave us the bond. Our new bond was registered with the deeds office on the 9 September 2016. We had to pay the attorneys 9 days of occupational rent as we had to move out of our property as it was registered end of August. On the 1st October we got a shock as our full bond was deducted including the insurance which we cancelled twice with the insurance department and the documents was given through to the attorneys when we signed for the property. I contacted the call centre and was told that the full amount will go off as it is the first debit order and cannot be changed. I cannot be charged a full amount if registration was only 9 September. That is considered theft. I have all the deeds office documentation to prove including the insurance document that was given through. I expect a refund as the bond was to be deducted pro rata. And your call are recorded so surely Standard Bank can confirm that the insurance was not taken.
