NAEDO Debits

There are companies that i do not know that are taking money from my account without my permission and standard bank is allowing them. They've already ****** a couple thousands from my account in the past few months. I called standard bank prestige line to tell them but i was told that they cant do anything about it since the debits are not on the same day every month. So what must I do now, sit by while they take my money? This is so unfair, i mean i trust this bank with my money but they allow ********** to ***** it. Why cant they call me to confirm before hand and ask for permission to allow the debits to go through? It is my money after all. I'm seriously considering moving banks.
