My settlement payment has disappeared into the ether

I settled my credit card 6 months ago and am still being charged a monthly debit. I'm UK-based so I can't go to a branch and calling is expensive. I've sent around 15 emails to 3 different email addresses and no one replies (apart from the automated BS).
