My father was unfairly treated by Standard Bank

On Saturday, the 19th at around 15h30, my father OB Mphachoe went the Standard Bank ATM next to Goldrush in Mabopane. He tried withdrawn money. He only punched in the pin number and he immediately realised that the ATM froze. He clicked cancelled few times when he notices that the ATM swallowed his bank card.

He called Standard Bank within 15 minutes of this incident occurrence, the consultant reassured him that they froze his bank account and no transaction has taken place yet and no transaction will ever take place.

To his surprise, R5000.00 was withdrawn after 30 minutes. Immediately after this transaction R22 000, was swiped at PAPI DRIVE Store in Johannesburg. He didn't have the kind of money in his bank account!!!!!! Only R11 477.22 was remaining is his account? How did R22 000 get out of his account when his account was frozen? Standard Bank why did you allow an overdraft to happen in his account when the consultant assured him that his account has frozen? Can you explain how did these ******* fly from Mabopane to Johannesburg within few minutes to use his account there?

On the 19th of September, my father went to Standard bank in Wonderpark. He was assisted by the consultant named Lerato. She allowed him to speak to the ANTI ***** department who gave him this Case number: ***.

On Monday, the 21st of September, he received a text from Anti ***** department. The confirmed that they are working on his case and they will give him feedback with 5 working days.

On Monday, he went back to the Standard bank in Wonderpark and they told him that there is absolutely nothing they can do because he reported this matter late. Really Standard bank??? Why did you not reverse the R22 000 paid PAPI DRIVE store because your client had already called you to freeze his account??

IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT PENSIONERS?

Standard bank, you have a lot of explaining to do!!!

Can someone get to this matter ASAP? My father is 72 years and he does not know the right questions to ask but your took advantage of him hence all the information you gave him wasvague. I'm his daughter and I will make sure that you pay him every single cent including the R10 000 which deposited to his bank account on the 19th September

Kindly treat this matter with urgency. You have already failed up but the least you can do is to resolve this.

My details are as follows: Lerato Moyane ***

My father's details are as follows: Mr OB Mphachoe ***

Hi there,

It's almost 2 weeks since I wrote you about our complain with Standard bank. Has anyone looked at this or should we take this matter forward? My dad is not doing okay at all!!!
