My card doesnt work, cant get someone to help

I tried to buy food earlier today but my debit card didnt work with the fast foods pinpad. The message was that my pin tries have been exceeded. This is the first time im using my card today. I tried to call through to standard bank to get it rectified but was bounced around and given one number after another to phone. How frustrating.
