My Bank Card not working on Uber eats anymore

I am so upset with Standard Bank at the moment. For longer than a year I have used my Standard Bank Debit Card to purchase food on Uber Eats app. Now about a month ago it stopped working. Now they tell me that it’s because I use a debit card and not a credit card. But why did it work for over a year with my debit card?! I feel that Standard Bank is always out to make their loyal customers’ lives as difficult as possible! Why??
