Multiple interest charges

I want to say that Standard bank is now addressing the issue i complained about on 6th May, multiple interest charges, and the turnaround date is 20th May.

After having no luck with emails and callcentre I, yesterday, 11th May, went to my home branch, Estcourt branch. I was assisted by Nhlanhla. She calmly looked at the issue and tried hard to assist me. Finally, right in my front, she logged a complaint with relevant department to provide me, by email, with the breakdown of how they arrived at the interest charges on my bank statement. And immediately I received an sms confirming that the issue was receiving attention. This was a demonstration of competency and efficiency of high level by Nhlanhla. I hated myself for wasting my airtime and data calling the callcentre and writing emails. All i had to do was to go to the branch and be kindly assisted.

I am happy with the treatment i received at the branch and i commend the branch for following, to the letter, all the covid-19 measures. I felt safe on the que outside and inside.

May i also take this opportunity and say I apologize to young lady Nhlanhla of callcentre for raising my voice on her when she was kindly assisting me. This was due to the frustration that my airtime was about to finish while no progress had been made in resolving the issue. I have realised that we customers are sometimes harsh with callcentre guys wanting them to understand the issue we are presenting to them the minute they hear it. Some of the issues we present to them require consultation with their supervisors. And some of the guys may have just started working there and inexperienced.
