Mr

Funds are debited from my credit card without my consent.

That is, sometime late February or beginning March in 2016, I had a telephone conversation with a consultant from a Forex Trading company called Alfa Trade. The intention was to open a forex trading account.

To open account a minimum of between R3500 t R5000 was required. I explained that at that moment I did not have thaat kind of money in my credit card but was advised to open the account anyway and that when funds are available, I will be contacted to start trading. When I refused to give my vredit card details, I was told that it was a mere formality to complete the electronic application form, I agreed, but to my surprise on the 31/03/2016 a sum of R1499.91 was debited from my credit card and transfered to Alfa Trade, what is more interesting is that I did not have that money and had already exceeded my credit card limit. Had I wanted that money personally the bank would have refused me citing "insufficient funds or not provided for". My question is why was that refusal not done?

On that discovery I contacted my bank and immediately stopped and cancelled the credit card number 5 ********** 6 ********** so that no more transactions could take place. I was then issued with a new credit card, number, 5 ********** 6 ********** . I reported the matter to the Standard Bank legal Dept as ***** hence the money was taken without my consent and requested it to be returned to my credit card account.

To my delight the money was returned to my new credit card account on 2016/06/27. I was happy. On the following month on 26/07/26 another debit order on my NEW credit card account went through, I contacted the bank again to enquire what was happening, I was put through to call centre but did not go through because of high volume of calls, I gave up and tried on more occasions until on 2017/01/12 I went through and was attended to by Mpho Kgopitsi who advised me the bank is the one that refunded the money not Alfa Trade on hope tht the money will be paid back. Alpha Trade told them (bank) that our deal was legitimate. If that is the case, why is there no business between me and Alfa Trade , I have no services from them and telephone calls have now ceased. The last one was for me to put more money or they will refund me if I do not have sufficient money to trade.

She also promised to send me the proof that Alfa Trade sent her (Mpho) to the branch to Kitso Norubela who attended me in my Butterworth branch of Standard Bank. I requested Mpho to Carbon Copy me the proof so I can expedite my claim with the bank or Alfa Trade. From 2017/01/12 up to date 2017/02/02 no proof came through and yet she emailed it that very same time of our telephonic conversation. I explained at the bank when I was cancelling my credit card that I am preventing more money from going out without me knowing but still Standard Bank released funds from a new credit card account to strangers knowing very well there is a dispute.

Now, who authorised Standard Bank to release funds from my credit card account, where is the proof that is said to be in possession of Mpho Kgopitsi? Standard Bank is the one who has all the details of Alpha Trade, I cannot reach them telephonically, emails are unanswered, they promised to return the money as it was too small to start a trading account. Now all I want is for Standard Bank to return my money.

Reference number of my conversation withMpho Kgopitsi is ***.

Please inveatigate and advise me. Thank You.
