Morally bankrupt bank fails to walk the Covid talk
Either Saturday late morning is an extremely bad time to approach any call centre consultant or everybody who works at the bank is unapproachable and unempathetic.
Standard Bank Credit Card department please prove my comments otherwise.
I send an email to the bank's *** four days ago concerning a late payment giving reasons and now four days later I have not even received the courtesy of a "we have received your email and are working at it" response, let alone an answer to my request.
Meanwhile I am now getting a barrage of incoming emails and sms messages threatening all kinds of ********** consequences.
Ironically one of the incoming emails contained the Bank's Credit card customer support policy under COVID-19 and inviting me to email the bank - which I have now done twice - and also phone the support call centre, which I did today. I experienced the worst treatment I have ever received from this bank on this phonecall - literally treated like a child by a person who handled the call like an android. NO Empathy whatsover. No record of my incoming email where I explained nicely what my predicament is.
With banks like this, it's not only the Covid virus you have to worry about. It's the threat of going bankrupt while morally bankrupt banks fail to walk the talk they are so vocal about - supporting customers through the pandemic indeed! What a load of manure.
Don't you read emails?
