Monthly payment limit

I have in the past been able to change my Bank Card monthly payment limit when I am logged in to my account on Standard Bank's internet banking site, but this morning I received a message saying that my profile did not permit such a change. I then had to spend about 15 minutes on my phone to get the monthly limit increased by the relatively small amount I wished. I believe that I should be free to decide whether this limit may be increased online or not. In fact, the sensible course would be to give the account holder the power to decide not only whether the monthly payment limit (and all other such limits) may be altered online but also the maximum amounts to which they may be altered online.

Hello
Did you give a Private Reply to my complaint because you not wish to make public the fact that you had not addressed, and presumably did not intend to address, my problem?
Last month, I had to waste an hour of my time queueing at one of your branches and then talking to someone about my problem. The lady to whom I talked was very helpful, which is the reason I have given two stars instead one, and I was under the impression when I left that I would in future be able to change my payment limit online, as previously I had been able to do. This, however, has proven to be not the case, and once again I am going to have to either spend a tedious time on the phone or take the risk of catching Covid-19 while visiting a branch in order to once again increase my monthly payment limit on my current a/c. Please write a Public Reply this time, unless you happen to want to reveal confidential personal data.
