Money Swallowed, no response for 3 weeks

On 31/01/2017 I visited Standard Bank Blue Route Mall Cape Town. I attempted to deposit R3500 cash into my account at the ATM, however, the money was swallowed. I received a receipt with an error message “Cash Jam. Please go to your nearest branch”.

I then proceeded by going into the branch in the mall. I was given a reference number ( ********** 331) by one of the Standard Bank consultants, and I was told that my money would reflect in my account 4-5 working days.

5 working days passed and I still had no money in my account and had not heard one word from Standard Bank.

After 7 days, on 07/02/2017 I received a sms stating that, “Standard Bank service request no. ********** 331 is still in progress. Thank you for your patience”

It is now 19/02/2017, 19 days since my money has been swallowed, and I am still waiting. The service has been terrible, not one word from standard bank since the money was swallowed, I don’t know if my case is being worked on, I don’t know if I’m getting the cash back, or if I am, when I am.

I don’t feel this is the way to treat any customer. I do not deserve this type of service and I would appreciate some feedback and/or communication. It is my money for goodness sake!
