Money not being reversed & *********** Private Banker

On the 1st of March 2018 I, by mistake, transferred R2000 from my standard bank current account into my old (OLD) standard bank credit card.

Immediately after completing the transfer I realised that I had sent the money to my old (OLD) credit card. As I am with Standard Bank Private Banking, I informed my Private Banker, hoping this matter will be quickly resolved.

My Private banker however first did not want to help as he did not understand that I had sent the money to an old (OLD) credit card, then after some explaining he said I don’t need to do anything as he insisted the money will "bounce back into your current account". Days went by and the money never "bounced back".

A week later the Private Banker "raised this matter with our Card Division at H/O for further investigation as they cannot pick up the payment on the incorrect card." --> I found his response strange has I had sent proof of payment of the transaction when originally raising the issue with him.

Needless to say 4 (FOUR) MONTHS have passed and this matter is still not resolved.

The Private Banker was adamant on a few occasions that the money had been reversed back into my credit card?? He did not/does not understand that the funds were transferred from my CURRENT ACCOUNT and thus if any funds were reversed, it would have been reversed into my current account and NOT any credit card. Secondly, the Private Banker keeps on getting confused with other R2000 payments that I have made over the months from my current account to my actual (NEW) credit card. He keeps on thinking that those R2000 payments that I make are in actual fact reversals from the bank.

After having wasted countless hours, and printing out statements to explain to the private banker how the money flows and the fact that NO REVERSAL HAS TAKEN PLACE till now, I have had enough with dealing with him. I need my money reversed, this cannot be such a complicated issue and I cannot deal with this private banker any more.
