Money disappeared without a trace

I have made a transaction from banking app. I sent R10 000 into a personal loan that was closed. I wanted to send my wife money for rent but ended up sending to a wrong account. I logged a query with standard bank to investigate. To my surprise they close the ticket without telling me what happened to my money. I had ti call them to find out why the ticket was closed. They then told me that yes the money was transferred from my std bank acc into that fnb account and thus i need to call FNB. I called fnb and they also can't trace my money. Is this possible that my money just disappeared between these two banks? Please help
