MEDIOCRE SERVICE AND STILL A LONG WAY TO GO
I complained about this branch previously at the beginning of the year . I was contacted by an employee of the bank who apologised and indicated that the relevant staff members have been spoken to and he assured me that my next visit to the bank will be a more comfortable experience. Indeed 10 months later ( 26 October 2020 ) almost nothing has changed. I waited outside the bank for 40 minutes and inside the banks enquiries queue for another 40 minutes . In total 80 minutes to complete a transaction for 5 minutes . Can this by any stretch of the imagination be called competent service . There is no urgency on the enquiries counter . One customer was there for almost 20 minutes just to receive a new card . The moment the customer left the employee walks away from the workstation . Another lady employee engaged in conversation with the customers children . In any Organisation you got to have a work ethic and an ethos . Clearly this is not found at this branch . Employees clearly know their work but the way they come across to the public leaves a lot to be desired. What is noticeable is staff members aimlessly walking around .Staff must not be told what they supposed to do and what they ought to do . Aside from the lack of urgency the layout of the premises must be reviewed . Currently u have a clumsy layout . You need a few offices for the bank manager and a few senior staff .A larger area of the premises must be cubicled for consultants and a small section for the cashiers . An electronic queueing with voice overs must be in place like Nedbank or Multichoice . Customers in the main want to see competence . Attitudes and old habits must change . Training is essential to reinforce this . PLEASE GUYS, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE.
