Making poor decisions on my behalf

I hold a Share Trading account with Standard bank and this week they did something on my account where they automatically reinvested capital from my Prescient shares into Stellar capital at a ridiculous price per share (R1.70 per share... a price that hasn't been reached in almost a year).

On the 6th or 7th, I received a notification of a dividend. So I logged into the site and saw there is almost R7000 available for transfer so I transferred it out into my bank account. Then the next day, they "reinvested" that whole amount (which was already withdrawn so the transaction shouldn't have been possible in the first place) into Stellar which results in my share account now being overdrawn.

According to the phone call I had, they sent out email notifications which contained instructions on choosing what happens with my shares, but I went back into my email history and there was no email with regards to this for the whole year. The last email I have from them with regards to PCT was for the AGM last year. I receive email notifications from them on a daily basis so there should be no reason why I didn't receive this email.

So due to a lack of communication that prevented me in choosing what happens to my shares and poor default actions (when no vote is cast), I'm now R2000 worse off than before.

My complaint has been "resolved" and they gave a detailed outline of their investigation with proof of emails that they sent on the 24th. Very thorough.
I don't have any record of those emails though (not even in my junk mail) so it must have been a mail server issue or something because I never received it. A follow-up email would have been nice before the deadline though as I might have noticed by then that I was not getting an important email.
Either way, it seems Standard Bank was not at fault and I take back my complaint.
