Making Banking Extremely Difficult and Miserable

My husband requested that Standard Bank put a stop on his card because he wants to pay it off in full. However, it seems like this bank is the only one that wants to make it as difficult as possible for customers to actually pay their card installments each month, because in doing this, the useless card division has now also completely deactivated his internet banking. How on earth are we supposed to keep a regular check on this account to ensure that payments are still being deducted from the amount owing in this case? Upon phoning the card division to complain, he was told, 'Oh, you will now just have to wait for your bank statement to be emailed each month.' Um yes...when it took us over a year to get them to email it in the first place...now we are expected to rely on this unreliable piece of correspondence to keep a check on this account *insert sarcasm here* This is extremely unreliable in that payment is expected to reflect in the account by 25th of the month, yet statements only land in your inbox on the 2nd or 3rd of the following month! Catch a wake up and make a plan to get this sorted, Standard Bank. Enough is enough.
