Lost FICA documents TWICE in 2 years
Standard Bank have lost my FICA documents twice in the last two years!
Upon closing a 32 Notice Deposit with them in 2013, Standard Bank first admitted to losing my proof of residence and refused to pay out the amount invested until I furnished them with another proof of residence. A few months later, I opened a SharePlus Account at the Woodmead Standard Bank branch and provided them with all of the required FICA documents. The account was successfully created and a year later upon maturity, I arrived to collect my investment. Firstly, the annual return on the SharePlus account was a measly 2.8%. Secondly, Standard Bank insist on charging an exorbitant 14% of this already tiny return just to transfer the money out. But to add insult to injury, Standard Bank have once again lost my proof of registration and as a result have frozen the account and refuse to pay out YET AGAIN!

This is disgraceful negligence on the part of Standard bank. There is no accountability for these mistakes and I'm sick and tired of wasting my time and effort in visiting the bank to sort their mistakes out.
