Logged complaint, Resolution Specialist called - NO RESPONSE AFTER THAT & STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so fed up with Standard Bank that I do not even know where to begin. I've been a valuable client of Standard Bank for a few years. I have purchased my first home through them 5 years ago. I have a bond with them, cheque account with them and I HAD a credit card with them but has since been paid up & "account closed" 2 years ago, or so I was told. So September last year (2015) my wife & I decided that we would like to upgrade to a bigger home so we completed the necessary paper work and submitted the offer to purchase through Standard Bank at first and the other big banks. Our application was declined by all banks because of affordability and bad debt because according to them I had an outstanding balance on my credit card with Standard Bank. I informed them that the credit card was already paid up in full, I don't owe them anything so I was informed by the consultant at the time that ITC had not been updated and they will send a request to the credit bureaus to update their systems of my credit card being paid up and then I can re-apply for credit in a few months. So thinking the credit bureaus have all been updated accordingly & I have conducted accounts in a good manner, especially never once missed a payment with Standard Bank, we contacted Standard Bank home-loans department last month (November 2016) as we wanted to apply for a 2nd bond on our home as we wanted to consolidate a few accounts & do a few renovations around the property. We were again declined due to affordability and bad debt because of an outstanding amount on a paid up credit card (note that there were never ever installments going off the credit card so there should not be an outstanding balance). I was again informed that they will send a request through to the credit bureaus & will take a few days for them to update their systems and once that happens I will be able to re-apply. I also requested a paid up letter, which I have received a few days later. Then yesterday, I received an sms saying that my service request has been resolved and was sent the paid up letter again. I then immediately emailed the consultant back asking if the credit bureaus have been updated accordingly. He then tells me "I have sent a request to the credit bureaus to update your profile as requested". I have since rep**** to his email highlighting my dissatisfaction of how Standard Bank have conducted my credit profile and that I have been a loyal client of their's for a few years but have not received any feedback. I expect a form of compensation from Standard Bank for the way they have failed to update my credit profile because of their negligence I have failed to receive credit for the past 2 years!!

Dec 28, 2016
Official business reply:
Good day Kent

Thank you for your posting and allowing us an opportunity to investigate your complaint.

This matter was allocated to a resolution specialist who will contact you to resolve your complaint.

Kind regards

Complaint Resolution Centre

***

********** (fax)
**********

Dec 30, 2016
kentr:
Typical "copy and paste" response.
