loan amount

I took a loan from standard bank for my home renovations, short after i took the loan unfortunately we were put off at work and i made sure i alert standard bank regarding my situation of which i had no control over, since then standard bank has been calling me non stop with all kinds of questions and some unpleasant news, recent calls, the person who called me made me aware that they will come to where ever i live and take whatever is my possession, now recent one just told me that i should await summons from court, i am not sure what it is about, i am very sure lots of people owe standard bank huge amounts of money even those who are working. By the time i was working i never missed even one payment, i begged them to hold the loan off until i can secure another employment then i will resume with payment, but it is so difficult for them to even listen to my reasoning, i have been banking with standard bank for years now, are they really compassionate about their customers. Kindly assist as what should i do from now on as i am at wit's end.
