Loan
I had a really bad experience with standard bank, I took out a loan for R59000 in 2013. The loan duration was for 5 years, I then took out and addition amount of R18000. Ive been paying the loan for 8 years now and yet the loan still has 2 years left. I have been asking them to send me my contract and a break down of how they added 5 years on my original term (with the same installment) when I only took an additional R18 000. The consultant promised to recalculate my loan and get back to me with feedback. 2 weeks later I’m still waiting, now he is not responding to my emails. Tried calling their call center and no one has answers for me. These people are basically charging me R1500 every month for 60 months on an R18000 loan = R90 000. I need answers, if not I’m taking this to the Ombudsman.
