Listed at SAFPS without my knowledge
On 6 December 2017 it was brought to my attention that I was listed at SAFPS by a lady called Yvonne at Standard Bank. This was done without my knowledge. In 2014 a friend used my account and my account at Std Bank was closed due to *****. A warrant officer arrived at my place of employment and I was placed under arrest. I was devastated as I had no idea what was going on and what this officer was on about. My husband and attorney met me at the police station where I was charged and placed in custody until bail was paid. I then traveled to Bela-Bela 7 times and appeared before a judge with my attorney before my case was thrown out and closed as it was proven that I was not involved. The friend who used my account was placed under arrest and he is currently serving time in Suncity correctional facility. I then started using my husband's account as I had signing powers etc. I never even thought about applying for anything so I had no idea that I was listed at the ***** department until December 2017. We app**** for a home loan. It was approved, monies were paid and we have already moved into our home and then all of a sudden our bank informed us of my ***** listing and so now we have huge worries and endless battles. Std Bank is refusing to assist. I was told to get an affidavit that says the matter was settled but I have been to 7 different Police stations and they refuse to assist because this is 4 years old. Std Bank just says sorry no affidavit no clearance. I literally have 24 hours before we lose our new home and this all because of an *********** Std Bank employee who listed me WITHOUT my knowledge. Sure this is wrong. I was never called, never emailed NOTHING to tell me they are listing me OR to even get my side of the story. I am disgusted by the service and lack of priority this matter as been handled. I am traumatized, I am sick with worry and this all because of Std Bank. I promise I will take the necessary steps against the lady at Std Bank and Std Bank as I was wrongfully listed.
