Lifesaver with international support for OTP access

I hereby would like to place my appreciation / gratitude on record for the prompt service I received from Veena Morar who is based at the Cresta Standard Bank branch. Last month (December 2019) my family and I went on an international holiday. I had most of my ducks in a row for the holiday including usage of my card internationally. However the one thing I forgot was to change my OTP from SMS to Email. When I tried to use my card online I realised that I had forgotten to make OTP change to email. I opted not to use my S.A. sim internationally. I sent an email on 20th December 2019 to *** asking for assistance. There was no reply. After an hour of getting no response and not being able to this simple change myself via Internet Banking nor the Standard Bank app, I decided to email Veena Morar whom I dealt with previously.

Veena was prompt and understood my predicament of being in a foreign country and unable to purchase anything. Even though she was busy with other clients, she multi-tasked and tried to speak to other team members within Standard Bank to try and resolve my problem. She kept me updated through the entire process and was in touch with me until I could start using my card internationally. Thank you once again Veena !!! You are a life saver and you know the true meaning of customer service and going the extra mile. It is people like you that want us to remain in South Africa #ImStaying. With all the negativity on service from South African banks, your assistance has definitely turned customer service to a positive one. Well done and keep up the great service. I would also like to put on record that Standard Bank Customer Contact Centre E-mail Unit rep**** to my initial email only the next day stating that they were unable to assist and that I had to contact another Standard Bank department !!!!!. Same company and different attitude and responses from different people. Veena Morar you definitely a star and saved my life!!!! Thank You !
