Leaving Standard Bank was the best thing I ever did.

If I could give a lower score I would. Leaving this bank is the best thing I ever did. They make it difficult to do anything, and it's easy to see why; they are far more focused on spending their time and money on advertising and internal affairs, far less concerned about their customers. I opened my business banking 5 years ago with FNB but had my personal account with Standard Bank so I could compare directly and while no bank is perfect FNB is BY FAR superior. I've now switched my personal banking to FNB, and what a relief! I have not looked back. App**** for a home loan recently at all the banks and once again Standard Bank was the worst by far. Just shocking service, shocking bank. I recommend a switch to anyone else (FNB is in my experience the best) ASAP.
